The Renal unit in Sheik Khalifa Medical City – Ajman formulated the “pre-dialysis education program” which is planned to include a structured set up of multidisciplinary team members (nephrologist, renal nurse, Dietitian, Psychologist and physiotherapist) who can guide patients through their difficulties and update them in their treatment choices. Patients and their families will receive stage based education about their medical condition, expected complications, treatment options and will be prepared physically and mentally to start dialysis in a healthier status.
