Successful advanced hip surgery performed by the orthopedic team. A 43 year old lady, born with chronic dislocations of both hip joints, had successful total hip replacement performed on both legs by Dr. Jonatan Berglund. She has had impaired range of motion with limping all her life, and during the last 4-5 years there has been severe pain from both hips. The story in SKMCA started with her visit to orthopedic clinic in the summer of 2017, to receive a medical report, in order to seek treatment abroad. The patient was satisfied by the treatment approach suggested by Dr. Berglund and agreed to have it done in SKMCA. Dr. Berglund, specialised in orthopedic trauma and joint replacements, performed the surgeries where her original hip joints had to be recreated. The first hip was done in December and the second in March. She has now recovered well and is very satisfied with the results.
