The Infectious disease specialist unit provides service for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of community- and hospital acquired infections as well as management of multi-resistant bacteria, tuberculosis and other communicable diseases.
The Infectious disease service takes a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and management of patients towards highest and latest scientific approach, working in close collaboration with the Clinical microbiology service to implement antimicrobial stewardship program and infection prevention and control within the hospital as well as an out-patient- and community basis for the population in general and its best.
