d. Protection from any physical, verbal or psychological abuse.
e. Identify the medical team and choose to progress or reject them.
f. Request another medical opinion if desired.
g. Accept or reject treatment, or if not directly responsible for the care, bear the burdens of rejection of treatment as personal responsibility.
h. Be provided with comprehensive explanations about treatment, alternative treatments and the side effects of the treatment.
i. Be provided an interpreter if necessary.
j. Be informed of all costs and expenses before the treatment.
k. Complain about medical services and care without fear, and know the procedures to follow.
As a patient at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, you have the following responsibilities to:
a. Provide accurate personal information when applying for medical care.
b. Respect the priority of emergency situations.
c. Follow the rules and regulations of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
d. Follow the therapeutic plan proposed by the physician and bear the consequences in the case of rejection of the treatment.
e. Respect all employees and the rights of other patients.
f. Preserve personal belongings during the period of the treatment.
g. Maintain appointments and inform staff in case of non-attendance to allow time to be given to other patients.
h. Pay treatment fees and financial dues without delay.
